December 14, 2016: ‘Introduction of new pricing structure drives participation at International Ski Travel Market (ISTM) 2017, Europe’s pre-scheduled meeting event for the ski travel industry’

ISTM has announced the introduction of a new pricing structure along with record participation from French and Italian Exhibitors and a multitude of new products for buyers to consider at the fourth edition of the event in Cortina.

(14 December 2016) Making connections and delivering opportunities, ISTM will take place 12 – 14 March, 2017 at Grand Hotel Savoia, Cortina, Italy and will feature the host resort as a resurgent destination with a diverse range of chic accommodation possibilities as well as transfer services and ski schools available.

Elsewhere, resorts such as Courchevel and Val d’Isere in France have made the most of the newly introduced pricing strategy for groups, having co-ordinated multiple suppliers to exhibit at the event, bringing along private sector properties to strengthen their presence.

ISTM Director, Luke Boulton, commented “We want to develop our exhibitor and supplier base and in turn ensure ISTM continues to provide a variety of product for our hosted buyers. By creating promotional rates for groups, we managed to find a way to do this whilst retaining the integrity of the event and giving our exhibitors a better opportunity to showcase their product and make a greater impact on the buyers.”

Alongside new exhibitors, some suppliers are returning with new products on show. Icelandic Exhibitors, North Sailing who were first-time exhibitors at the 2016 event, were impressed with the contacts they made and business development opportunities available and will present their new ski product based in Norway alongside their Icelandic ski tours.

As well as these emerging products, international brands such Virgin Limited Edition will attend for the fourth time in a row featuring their property, The Lodge, Verbier. Verbier will also be represented by the W Hotel, returning to the event after their participation in the first edition in 2014.

Boulton added: “We are fortunate to have the support of world-class destinations and products. We aim to continue to provide an uncomplicated, extremely valuable and time efficient service to support the growth and development of the businesses in the ISTM community.”
